About Kira

Kira is an AI-powered creative app for making and editing images and short videos. Describe what you want in plain words, or start from one of your own photos, and Kira's AI models generate or edit the result for you. Kira is available on the web at kira.art.

What you can do with Kira

• Create images from a text description, optionally guided by reference images, with a choice of the Lite, Nova and Ultra models.
• Edit photos with AI: describe a change in words, sketch on an image, remove or replace a background, erase unwanted objects, expand the frame, or upscale to a higher resolution.
• Fine-tune your images with crop, adjustments and filters.
• Make videos: generate short videos from text or images, edit and extend clips, trim them, and animate a character with Motion Control.
• Share your creations in the public Gallery and discover work from other creators through hashtags.

Signing in

You create a Kira account by signing in with Google or with Apple. When you sign in with Google, Kira receives your email address, name, profile picture (where available) and a unique account identifier, and uses them to create and manage your Kira account. Kira never receives your Google password. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kira, or between 13 and 17 with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, as set out in our Terms of Use.

Safety and content rules

Kira is built for creative, everyday content. Our Safety & Content Policy applies everywhere on Kira, including private generations:

• Sexually explicit, pornographic, nude or otherwise adult content is not allowed.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery and sexual or nude depictions of real people are prohibited.
• Content that sexualizes minors is prohibited. Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the authorities, and the account is terminated immediately.
• Deceptive deepfakes and harmful impersonation of real people are not allowed.

Prompts and results pass through automated safety filters, and public content is moderated with a combination of automated and human review. Anyone can report a public creation with the Report action or by emailing [email protected]; we aim to act on reports within 24 hours. Violations can lead to content removal and to account suspension or termination.
