Hashtags: Tag Your Posts and Discover More
Last updated:
Hashtags connect a public post to a topic, style, or series. A tag such as #shotwithkira gives other creators a way to find related work, and gives you a way to explore it.

Add tags when posting
Use Publish in a project or the posting entry in Home, add your media, and include relevant hashtags in the caption. Where suggestions appear, select one or finish typing your own tag.
Keep the caption within the limit shown by the composer. A tag should describe the work, not promise visibility or engagement.
Explore a tag
Tap or click a hashtag on a public post to open its topic page. You can also discover topics through Discover on desktop or Explore on mobile web.
The topic page helps you browse creations connected to that tag. It does not replace your personal Project history.
Choose useful tags
- Describe the actual subject, style, or theme.
- Use a consistent personal tag for a series.
- Add a relevant community or activity tag when it fits.
- Prefer a few meaningful tags to unrelated popular ones.
Public sharing
Publishing makes the creation and its associated profile information publicly visible. Review the caption and media before posting. See the Privacy Policy for public-content details.
